Október utolsó Piano-Forte estjén Bori Viktor Attila jazz-zongorista vendége a nagyszerű gitáros-énekes Matthias Elender Passauból. Több zenei szálon is összekapcsolódik a két muzsikus, a Flamingo Trio-ban a közös barát, Peter Massink kompozicióit játszák elsősorban; mindketten aktív résztvevői a passau-i Café Museum jam session-einek; valamint legutóbbi közös projektjük Ipanema Moods címmel a szomszédos Bécsben valósult meg, főleg brazil zenéket feldolgozva.
Budapesten mindhárom zenei világból kínálnak amolyan Melange-ot.
Bori Viktor Attila nemzetközileg is elismert jazz-zongorista, zeneszerző. Zenei tanulmányait először a Bartók Béla Konzervatórium jazztanszakán, majd Hollandiában, az Utrecht Konzervatóriumban végezte. BA diplomáját az Arnhem-I ArtEz Művészeti Főiskolán szerezte. 2008-2012 között a Magyar Jazz Szövetség vezetőségi tagja. Nevéhez fűződik a közel húsz évig működő ‘Bori Jazz’ fesztivál.

On the last Piano-Forte evening of the month pianist Viktor Attila Bori will have the extraordinary guitarist-singer Matthias Elender from Passau, Germany as special guest. The two musicians have been in several projects together recently. In Flamingo Trio, they explore the music of Dutch composer Peter Massink. They both have been frequently attending the monthly jam sessions at Café Museum on Passau. Their latest project, Ipanema Moods brought them to Vienna, revisiting the best of Brasil music.
Matthias Elender is a guitarist who loves to move between very different musical styles. Starting off with classical guitar he developed into various directions. He played a lot of jazz and improvised music and early discovered his affinity for Latin and Brazilian music in particular. This fascination led him on several trips to Argentina, Peru, and finally to Brazil. From 2003 to 2009 he studied Jazz and Popular Music at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna with Arnoldo Moreno and Peter Legat. He also attended various workshops, for example with Bobby McFerrin, Tommy Emmanuel and Beppe Gambetta. Besides working as a teacher, he plays in several bands and ensembles for which he also arranges and composes.
In Budapest they will be offering a 'Melange' of all three musical worlds.
Viktor Attila BORI is an internationally acclaimed jazz pianist and composer who after graduating from Béla Bartók Conservatory in Budapest pursued his postgraduate studies at Utrecht Conservatory in the Netherlands. He earned his BA degree at ArtEz College in 2004. From 2008-2012 he was on the board of the Hungarian Jazz Federation. He is also the founder of the ‘Bori Jazz’ grass-roots festival which ran from 1992 for almost two decades. Currently he works as a freelance musician/educator in and outside Hungary.
The series are self-supportive, supporters' tickets can be purchased to enjoy the music.
